Conference Venue
The conference takes place at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU), one of Europe’s leading research universities. Founded in 1472, LMU has shaped academic life in Munich for centuries and today combines a strong international research profile with an exceptional location in the city center.
The venue is in Maxvorstadt, Munich’s university district, within easy walking distance of LMU’s main building and many of the city’s landmarks.
Our sessions will be held in the Freskensaal in Ludwigstrasse 28. The room is famous for its monumental fresco cycle by Robert von Langer, depicting scenes from Greek mythology (including Theseus, Herakles, and Orpheus).
The frescoes have a remarkable history: they were not originally created for this building, but were transferred from the former Herzog-Max-Palais on Ludwigstraße and later restored, returning the room to near-original splendor.
